The GTL team has backgrounds in science, engineering and business with decades of experience in research, product development and international business development.  Our strengths in engineering and environmental applications are uniquely suited to solve contemporary energy and environmental challenges being faced around the globe.  The principals of GTL have a wide range of experience in countries around the world.  Understanding the different business cultures internationally is critical to the success of any project.

Roy Lindsey is the Chief Executive Officer of Gideon Technical Laboratories with primary responsibilities that include corporate decision making, providing strategic direction of the overall operations and resources of the company and the formation of key relationships. Mr. Lindsey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Roy Lindsey is a proven leader with more than 20 years of management experience, 15 years of which was project management in the United States of America and 5 years of program management in West Africa where he also managed the feasibility and development of a large-scale renewable energy facility ($129mm). Mr. Lindsey’s career has focused on the implementation and sustainability of renewable energy, water, and remediation technology throughout the world.

 

 

 


 

Mike Aertker is the Chief Operating Officer of Gideon Technical Laboratories with responsibility for daily operations as well as implementing plans and strategy throughout all company divisions and managing growth of the company. Mr. Aertker earned Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Engineering (Biomedical Engineering) and a Master of Business Administration.

Mr. Aertker has served in executive positions in both private and public companies and has extensive experience managing technical operations and projects domestically and internationally. He has served as a country manager in a West African nation as well as provided laboratory program management in manufacturing, cleanroom facilities and biosecurity in North American, Asia and Africa. Through his accomplishments with program management of design, construction, commissioning and operation of one of fourteen Regional Biocontainment Laboratories constructed in the United States in support of research on biodefense and emerging infectious disease agents, he became an expert in complicated process engineering.

 

 


 

Richard Tucker, PE is the President of Tucker Engineering Associates, Inc, a partner company to Gideon Technical Laboratories, and has responsibility for design of new advanced pyrolysis technologies, scaling up existing technologies and evaluating complementary technologies. Mr. Tucker earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and a Master of Science in nuclear engineering.

Mr. Tucker holds four US and four foreign patents for advanced pyrolysis technologies which eliminate undesirable air emissions that have plagued “waste-to-energy” and “coal-to-energy” systems. He also is a licensed Professional Engineer in seven states. Mr. Tucker is a globally recognized expert in advanced pyrolysis and organic gasification technologies and in taking these from concept to market. He has been the recipient of numerous awards for his work in these fields including the GridWise Architectural Council Applied Award. Mr. Tucker also chairs the IEEE SCC31 End Device Subcommittee which has produced a set of communications standards utilized and accepted in the “SmartGrid” catalogue.
